My Story

I  live in New Orleans, LA, where I have spent the past 20 years working in mathematics education. I am a 5th-grade math teacher at heart, and my greatest joy is being in math classrooms!

My journey with IM began in 2012- I knew I needed more support with the new standards to be the best teacher for my students. While searching for development opportunities, I came across the name of someone I shared a house with after being displaced by Hurricane Katrina. She was on the founding team at IM and brought me on board as a teacher reviewer. I worked my way up to writing tasks as well and became the 3rd - 5th grade Classroom Lead on the original IM website.​

Since 2017, I have also been facilitating professional learning directly for the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum and through personal contracts with schools and districts. I have worked with K-12 classrooms, both traditional and charter, and will keep striving to provide the best support possible for every school community I serve.

When not working with schools, I enjoy running, beach volleyball, and parading with two different Mardi Gras krewes!
